OFFICIAL NOTICE
Dear Sisters
and Brothers:
Nominations
for all elected officers and delegates as well as alternates to the
International Convention of Local Union 1342 of the Amalgamated Transit
Union will be held at all union meetings held in October 2010, beginning
with the Grand Island Transit meeting on October 11, 2010 and ending with
the NFT Metro evening meeting on October 13, 2010. Election of officers,
delegates and alternates to the International Convention will take place
November 30, 2010 through December 21, 2010. Nominations
and elections are held in accordance with Section Six of our Local By-Laws,
which are governed by the International Constitution and General laws,
Section 14.4 and 14.7.
As per our
Local By-Laws, this election will be conducted by mail. Nominations may also
be submitted by mail during the period of October 11, 2010 through October
13, 2010, as governed by Section Six of our Local By-Laws, at which time
nominations will be closed. A copy of Section Six of
our Local By-Laws
“Nominations and Elections” will be posted on all union bulletin boards.
